Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria was accused of sending out live tweets during “Sopranos” star James Gandolfini’s funeral on Thursday morning — and Mr. Baldwin, known for explosive outbursts that make national headlines, didn’t disappoint.
He sent out an expletive-laced Twitter rant against the media outlet that reported his wife’s alleged social faux pas, The Huffington Post reported.
The Daily Mail first reported that Hilaria asked her Twitter followers for wedding anniversary suggestions and retweeted updates about her Rachel Ray Show appearance during the funeral service of Mr. Gandolfini. A spokesperson for Hilaria denied she tweeted inside the church. But too late — the public relations damage was done.
And Mr. Baldwin jumped to his wife’s defense — in characteristic rant form.
One tweet: “My wife did not use her phone, in any capacity, at our friends funeral. Now [expletive] this twitter + good luck to all of you who know the truth.”
Another: “How much of this [expletive] are people supposed to take? With these [expletive] blatant lies every day.”
And another, apparently aimed at the reporter for the Daily Mail who wrote the piece about Hilaria: “I’m gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen and I’m gonna [expletive] … you … up.”
One more: “[I’d] put my foot up your [double expletive], George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much.”
Mr. Baldwin was captured on audio in 2007 calling his daughter a “rude thoughtless pig” and ranting at what he characterized as her selfish tendencies. He was forced to apologize, after the tape went public.
