Mike Huckabee had some choice words for the Supreme Court’s rulings Wednesday that cleared the path for gay marriage in California and federal recognition for married same-sex couples.

In an email, titled “5 People In Robes Are Not Bigger Than God,” the former Arkansas governor urged readers to elect people “who support Life and Marriage.”

“My immediate thoughts on the SCOTUS ruling that determined that same sex marriage is okay: ’Jesus wept,’” the Republican said. “Five people in robes said they are bigger than the voters of California and Congress combined. And bigger than God. May He forgive us all.”

Mr. Huckabee then asked supporters to donate $3 or more to his political action committee HuckPAC.

“As the Left wing media and activists cheer today’s rulings, help me show them the fight to preserve Traditional Marriage is far from over,” he concluded.
