After a contentious union battle that left the company bankrupt, Hostess is putting its Twinkies snack cake back on store shelves.

July 15 is the date, company executives say, The New York Post reported. And they’re predicting a blockbuster return that includes the return of a couple other snacks — CupCakes and Donettes, The Post said.

“A lot of impostor products have come to the market while Hostess has been off the shelves,” said Daren Matropoulos, a principal of the investment company that helped re-launch the snacks, in The Post.

The snacks are the same, the company assures. But the advertising tag is different. Product boxes will now include the line, “The Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever,” The Post reported.

Hostess struggled financially for years and filed for Chapter 11 in 2012, citing high pension costs that left the unionized company at a competitive disadvantage with other companies that weren’t unionized.
