A warrant was issued Friday morning for the arrest of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

“Fox & Friends” reported that the warrant was for an obstruction of justice charge.

Mr. Hernandez has been questioned by police in the shooting death of a 27-year-old man, Odin Lloyd of Dorchester, whose body was found about a mile from the Patriots player’s home on Monday. CBS said Mr. Lloyd had been shot in the head. Various reports say Mr. Hernandez has been uncooperative with police during questioning.

Police never named him a suspect. But “Fox & Friends” reported Friday: Mr. Hernandez did hire a maid to come in and clean his house from top to bottom the same day the body was found. And police had stated earlier in various media reports that Mr. Lloyd seemed to have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the spot.

A rental vehicle found at the scene was tied to Mr. Hernandez. CBS reported that Mr. Lloyd had been driving the SUV, which had been rented in Mr. Hernandez’s name. CBS also reported that Mr. Lloyd was dating a woman who is the sister of Mr. Hernandez’s fiancée.
