Authorities in Iraq say they have uncovered an al Qaeda plot to use remote-controlled toy planes to drop chemical agents over areas in Europe and North America, the BBC reported Saturday.
Defense Ministry spokesman Mohammed al-Askari said five men were arrested after military intelligence watched them for three months.
Three workshops for manufacturing the chemical agents, including sarin and mustard gas, as well as the toy planes, were seized, the BBC reports.
The arrests were possible because of cooperation between Iraqi and foreign intelligence services, Mr. al-Askari added.
