MIAMI (AP) - The San Antonio Spurs are hoping the road to recovery from an incredible collapse in Game 6 goes through their stomachs.
After blowing a five-point lead with 28 seconds to play that prevented them from winning their fifth championship, the Spurs held a team dinner to try to refocus.
Tim Duncan says the dinner helped the Spurs clear their heads. They are hoping to avoid dwelling on the collapse that led to a 103-100 overtime loss in Game 6 and move forward to preparing for Game 7 on Thursday night.
Manu Ginobili says he can’t remember the Spurs ever suffering a tougher loss than they did in Game 6. He says it’s important for them to realize they still have a shot at the title.
