Lebanon media reported Friday that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s next plan to win back his war-torn nation from rebel fighters is to create a force on the Golan Heights with one unifying purpose: To oppose Israel.

The special “resistance” force is his way of unifying the various fighting factions, The Times of Israel reported. The front would mirror how terrorist group Hezbollah operates in southern Lebanon, the report said.

Israel has repeatedly stated that the government would resist any border crossing of Syrian refugees. At the same time, Israeli medical officials have provided treatment to some wounded Syrian civilians in hospitals near the Golan Heights.

The United Nations reported Thursday that 93,000 have been killed so far in the Syrian conflict.
