A popular sports bar in Miami that was packed to the hilt for Thursday’s NBA finals turned into chaos zone as an outdoor deck collapsed, sending dozens into the water and injuring more than 30.

Miami Fire Rescue spokesperson Lt. Iggy Carroll told CBS that 33 were hurt when they fell into the Biscayne Bay, and of that, 24 were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Two on Friday remained in critical condition, said Miami-Dade Fire Chief David Downey, in the CBS reported.

An estimated 100 were standing on the deck outside Shucker’s Bar & Grill in North Bay Village. It collapsed just as the crowd rose to its feet to cheer a Heat player’s shot, a waitress said, in the CBS report.

One witness, Israel Marquez, said he was inside the bar and “heard a big old snap. Boom. Like a shotgun blast,” CBS reported. He looked outside the window and saw “it all came down in slow motion,” he said.
