The publisher of a coloring book for children that taught about the tea party movement and other constitutional issues said his company received a profanity-laced message from the White House, which was upset with certain pro-patriot messages.
Really Big Coloring Books founder Wayne Bell said on a Wednesday broadcast on Fox News that sales of “Tea Party Coloring Book for Kids” and “U.S. Constitution Book Just for Kids” have been great — but that feedback from the White House has been negative for years. The administration hasn’t been happy with the company because of the published “We Shall Never Forget 9/11” coloring book, he said. The reason for the administration’s unhappiness?
“Because we put people — we put the evil people in here,” Mr. Bell said, as Raw Story reported. For instance, one reference was to Bill Ayers, a former Weather Underground radical and associate of President Obama. Mr. Bell said he thought the White House was upset at that inclusion “because they basically told us ’you [expletive]’ … but they didn’t write it out,” Raw Story reported.
He continued in the Raw Story report: “Our graphics and our forensics people on our web team [said] the email came from whitehouse.gov. We responded to the email and told them this is very inappropriate. The person signed it with their initials and we never heard back from them. And so, we think they were just upset because we did a book on terror that tells the truth about terrorism.”
