One father of an 11-year-old boy who attends Jean-Baptiste Clement’s math class at a grade school in Colombes, northwest of Paris, said his son came home from school Monday in obvious distress and discomfort — and no wonder.

The teacher, Ms. Clement, showed the entire class of fifth-graders the gruesome movie “Saw” during class time, The Daily Caller reported.

“This will be your first horror film,” the teacher said, setting up the film, The Daily Caller said.

Some parents were outraged; they didn’t learn of the day’s activities until after the fact.

“[My son] returned from school … visibly in some discomfort, not well,” one father said. “I asked him, and he told me his math teacher had shown them a horror film during class.”

The school, in response, suspended the teacher — for one day, The Daily Caller reported.
