Security guards who work at a key wish-list target for the world’s terrorists, JFK Airport, have been caught sleeping at key posts, damaging photographs prove.
A former manager for FJC Security, the company that provides about 300 of the guards that patrol JFK Airport, said dozing on the job was a regular pastime for the workers.
“It was a regular occurrence finding the guards sleeping,” said Stephen Jackson, who served as a manager for the staff in 2011, in The New York Post. He was later fired for what he claimed was whistleblowing and discrimination, The Post said.
But while employed, he regularly caught six of the 56 to 65 guards he supervised during his 8-hour shift on the job fast asleep, he told The Post.
The guards at FJC earned $17.23 to start — almost $36,000 a year, The Post said.
JFK Airport was the target of at least one major terrorist plot, in 2007.
