Bob Beckel, the liberal voice of Fox News’ hourlong news discussion show, “The Five,” said it’s obvious that George Zimmerman — the Florida man on trial for second-degree murder for the February 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin — is racist.

He’s a “wannabe cop who didn’t like black people,” Mr. Beckel said during the Monday-evening broadcast of “The Five.”

Mr. Beckel made the comments in response to his co-hosts’ claim that the prosecution in the trial has fallen far short of proving Mr. Zimmerman’s guilt. Kimberly Guilfoyle said prosecutors were tasked with proving Mr. Zimmerman had “hatred, ill will toward Trayvon Martin so bad, so evil to justify a second-degree murder conviction” — but that they haven’t.

That’s when Mr. Beckel said Mr. Zimmerman was a racist who patrolled his community and regularly “called in black kids” for questioning, Mediaite reported.

“This guy had already been profiling black kids in that neighborhood,” Mr. Beckel said. “There’s been a record of that. The guy was a wannabe cop who didn’t like black people.”
