Anthony Weiner has released a new campaign ad, asserting yet again that his bid for mayor of New York City would continue, despite rising objections from even members of his own Democratic Party.

The ad features Mr. Weiner speaking directly to the camera.

“You know, sometimes people say to me, ’This campaign is pretty rough. You may want to quit.’ I know that there are newspaper editors and other politicians that say, ’Boy, I wish that guy Weiner would quit.’ They don’t know New York. They certainly don’t know me. Quit isn’t the way we roll in New York City.”

The fallout from Mr. Weiner’s most recent sexting scandal is mounting. His campaign manager stepped aside last weekend, his communications manager gave a expletive-filled rant to a blogger about a former intern’s allegations of Mr. Weiner, and recent polls have him in fourth place.

Meanwhile, even staunch Democrats such as Rev. Al Sharpton are calling for Mr. Weiner to exit the race.
