Speaking on the Senate floor Tuesday, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio railed against Obamacare, comparing it to marketing flops like New Coke and the Ford Pinto.
“What did Coca-Cola do when New Coke began to flounder? They didn’t say, ’Well, we’re just gonna continue to make more of it.’ They backed away from it,” the Republican said. “In the real world, Ford stopped producing Pintos.”
“With all these problems why would anyone want to continue with this failed experiment?” Mr. Rubio asked. “Only in Washington do people double down on their mistakes.”
New polling shows that more Americans than ever support the repeal of Obamacare. CBS News found last week that 39 percent are in favor of repeal.
