Matt Sandusky, the adopted son of convicted serial child molester and former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, has filed a petition to change his last name.

He has asked the Centre County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania to allow the name change for himself, as well as for his wife and four children, The Associated Press reported.

The file is sealed, so his reason for seeking the change isn’t known. But Matt Sandusky — one of six children adopted into Jerry Sandusky’s family — has alleged in the past that he was abused by his adoptive father.

The former football coach was convicted of 45 of 48 counts of sexual abuse and is currently in prison. He still claims he was wrongfully convicted, AP reported.
