Bill Cosby decided to weigh in on the George Zimmerman verdict Tuesday, saying there’s no way to prove Zimmerman is racist.
“This racial stuff goes into a whole bunch of discussion which has stuff that you can’t prove,” the TV dad said in an interview with the “DomNnate Radio Show.
“You can’t prove somebody is a racist unless they really come out and do the act and is found to be that,” he added. “Let’s not go into a racial discussion unless we really have something there.”
Mr. Cosby said he stopped paying attention to widely publicized trials after Casey Anthony was acquitted in the murder of her 2-year-old daughter in 2011.
“I found the media were jumping and had this woman guilty,” he said, according to the Orlando Sentinel. “I will never pay attention to information given to me by TV, radio or whatever about a high-profile case until the jury says what it says.”
When asked about Stand your Ground laws, in Florida specifically, the actor said the situation “is getting out of line,” according to the Sentinel.
