The surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon terrorist bombings, Dzhohkar Tsarnaev, is pictured on the cover of the latest edition of Rolling Stone magazine and profiled inside, with a feature that highlights his UMass Dartmouth attendance.

And Boston residents especially are outraged, calling for a boycott of the magazine, Fox News reported. Social media sites buzzed at the news, too.

One Twitter poster, reported on Fox News, wrote: “The glamorization of terrorism needs to stop.”

Another: “It’s like we’re giving terrorists and criminals a free ride to the top, right next to our celebrities.”

The feature story is titled “Jahar’s World,” and includes coverage of the suspect’s Muslim faith — and how he downplayed that aspect of himself while in high school, Boston.com reported.

Other article highlights: He once told a friend that terrorist attacks can be justified. And he supposedly considered surrendering to police in April due to the pleadings of a former wrestling coach.

Tsarnaev and his brother Tamerlan, now dead, are believed to be the sources of the bombings at the Boston Marathon on April 15.
