Police are looking for two suspects who, while wielding a gun and a knife, broke into a church near Buffalo, N.Y., Monday during a funeral, demanded money from two employees and fled in what is believed to be a silver Cadillac.

Fox News reported that the men pushed their way into the St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church in Cheektowaga and threatened two female employees. The women told police they gave the men money from the church safe and from their own pocketbooks.

A police detective recounted the incident: “A secretary who came to the door asked, ’How can I help you?’ The two males asked for food. When she opened the door, they pushed their way in,” Fox News reported.

The Catholic Diocese of Buffalo said a family was holding funeral services inside the church during the robbery.
