Day 2 of the testimony of a former partner and friend of reputed mobster head James “Whitey” Bulger ended in drama and mayhem, with each shouting expletives across the courtroom.

The chaos started when Kevin Weeks — who was close enough to Mr. Bulger that they spoke daily — said he witnessed the mob boss commit several killings.

“We killed people that were rats, and I had the two biggest rats right next to me,” Mr. Weeks said, CNN reported.

Mr. Bulger broke in: “You suck.”

The two then traded expletives, and Mr. Weeks asked Mr. Bulger: “What do you want to do?”

U.S. marshals were forced to stand between the two, until the judge dismissed Mr. Weeks.

Mr. Bulger faces charges related to the deaths of 19 people. He’s accused of heading up Boston’s Irish mob for nearly two decades, and he also faces allegations of extortion, racketeering and money laundering.
