Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old suspect in the Boston bombing case, is due for arraignment Wednesday to face 30 charges related to the death of four people and the wounding of 260.
The courtroom is expected to be packed, and officials have already prepped an overflow room to accommodate the masses. Victims and their families will likely turn out in full force, CNN legal analyst Paul Callan said.
“It’s not something they want to watch on television,” he said in a CNN report. “They want to be there.”
Meanwhile, Boston politicos are expressing confidence the court case will end with a decision to convict.
“We should lock him up and throw away the key,” Boston Mayor Thomas Menino told the Boston Herald.
Prosecutors are likely to seek the death penalty, CNN reported.
