Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso brought forth a bill Wednesday to freeze or moot almost all National Labor Relations Board decisions from the past year.
“Until we have a final resolution from the courts, the NLRB should not be able to issue or enforce decisions that will create even more confusion and illegitimate regulations,” Mr. Barrasso said, according to Fox News.
His bill comes on the heels of a federal appeals court ruling against President Obama’s NLRB appointments, made during a Senate recess — that Republicans in the Senate always maintained was not really a recess. The White House will likely appeal to the Supreme Court, according to various media.
In the meantime, the state of NLRB rulings, both current and past, are contentious.
“My bill,” Mr. Barrasso said, according to Fox News, “will restore clarity, order and respect for the U.S. Constitution.”
