The White House isn’t biting on a Republican congresswoman’s offer to go skeet shooting with President Obama. Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee has voiced skepticism of Mr. Obama’s claim of frequent skeet shooting at Camp David, and she said she’d like to be invited to the presidential retreat for a match. Mrs. Blackburn said she would beat Mr. Obama.

Asked Wednesday if he had any reaction to Mrs. Blackburn’s comments, White House press secretary Jay Carney said simply, “I have none.” He then moved on to another questioner.

Mr. Obama told The New Republic, while addressing concerns that his gun-control proposals would hurt hunters, that he enjoys skeet shooting. “We do skeet shooting all the time” at Camp David, he said.

Mrs. Blackburn said if that were true, there undoubtedly would be photos of the president shooting, but none have surfaced.
