Toyota has recalled more than a million cars around the world because of defects with the air bags and windshield wipers, according to media reports.

The Associated Press says the recall follows industry rankings that put Toyota at the top for auto manufacturing, ahead of America’s General Motors Co.

Specifically, Toyota has recalled 907,000 vehicles, mostly Corollas, after finding that air bags can inflate improperly. The company also has recalled 385,000 Lexus IS luxury vehicles after discovering that windshield wipers stuck in heavy snowfall, according to the AP.

Spokesman Naoto Fuse said two crashes had occurred in the United States because of improper air bag inflation, the AP reports.
