It’s only been a few days since she left office for the private sector, but former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s newest website seems to suggest re-entry back to civil service — as a candidate for the White House. The rumors are flying, once again, as HillaryClintonOffice.com strikes a decidedly official tone.

Add to that a mass email sent out Tuesday from President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, urging Americans to “thank Hillary for making our country and our world stronger, safer and better,” and talk of a 2016 run has hit new levels of intensity, the Daily News reports.

Friend Ann Lewis is fanning that flame; Daily News recounts her telling NBC that the former secretary of state would “take some time, put her feet up, take a nap.” That leaves open the question: Then what?

At least one political watcher finds the formal tone of the website, and Clinton family email to supporters, telling of a future return to the public arena.

“These are not the kind of things you do if you want to fade quietly into the night,” said Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf, in the Daily News report.
