Johns Hopkins has been hit with its first lawsuit after an investigation found that a gynecologist had been secretly recording women during exams.
More than 2,000 patients have called a police hotline looking for answers.
Detectives say Dr. Nikita Levy made photos and videos of their examinations. They confiscated them from his home before he committed suicide, CBS Baltimore reports.
“I can’t even begin to imagine the unimaginable breach of trust that this incident has created for families and patients,” Baltimore policeman Anthony Guglielmi told CBS.
Johns Hopkins was served Tuesday with the first of what’s expected to be many lawsuits, CBS reports.
