In a first, President Obama and famed golfer Tiger Woods hit the links together Sunday in Palm City, Fla., the White House confirms.

The president golfed at the Floridian Yacht and Golf Club with the world’s No. 2 golfer along with Jim Crane, who owns the resort, and U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk.

The president golfed Saturday with Mr. Woods’ former coach, Butch Harmon, along with Mr. Crane, who also owns baseball’s Houston Astros; Houston businessman Milton Carroll; and Houston attorney Tony Chase.

Mr. Obama is spending a weekend getaway in Florida, while his wife, Michelle, and their daughters, Malia and Sasha, are skiing in Colorado.

The president hosted Mr. Woods at the White House in April 2009, just months before the golfer’s career went into a downward spiral after reports emerged he was cheating on his wife with many women.

There have been reports of the golfer being romantically involved with Olympic skier Lindsay Vonn ever since they were spotted together on an Austrian ski trip in November, but the couple remains elusive on the subject.
