Investigators believe Christopher Dorner, the fugitive former Los Angeles police officer charged with murdering three, may have had help fleeing to Mexico, a new report says.

According to documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times, investigators are finding “probable cause” that Mr. Dorner, 33, may had been assisted in his flight from law enforcement by someone identified as “JY,” Fox News reports. The associate “JY” is identified in the criminal complaint that was filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles last week, Fox News said.

Police told the newspaper that the statements on the court documents reflected their beliefs at the time, Fox News said. They also emphasized that Mr. Dorner hasn’t necessarily fled to Mexico and that he could be anywhere, according to Fox News.
