SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (AP) - A Scottsdale, Ariz., fire official says four people with the San Francisco Giants’ minor league team were injured in a Tuesday morning crash.

Battalion Chief Rod Thompson says the four were taken to a hospital for injuries suffered when their passenger van collided with a car near a hotel.

Thompson says one person’s injuries are considered critical and possibly life-threatening. He said players appear to be among those hurt. No further details are immediately available.

Giants spokeswoman Staci Slaughter says she’s unable to provide any information yet.

The Giants conducts training in Scottsdale for its minor league teams. The club’s major league team also conducts its spring training in the desert city.
