OAKLAND, CALIF. (AP) - The Denver Broncos have tied the NFL record for most points by a team in a season.

Peyton Manning threw two touchdowns passes before Matt Prater’s 34-yard field goal early in the second quarter equaled New England’s single-season mark of 589 set in 2007. Manning also entered the game needing 266 yards passing to eclipse Drew Brees’ single-season mark of 5,476 set in 2011 with New Orleans.

Manning broke Tom Brady’s single-season touchdown pass record last week by throwing his 51st. Since Manning arrived in Denver last season, the Broncos have scored at least 18 points in all but one regular-season game.
