President Obama will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. Friday at the White House as he wraps up a turbulent year.

The news conference, to be held in the press briefing room, will be the president’s first since Nov. 14. It comes amid continued problems with the rollout of Obamacare, plunging job-approval ratings for Mr. Obama and a near-rebellion among the White House press corps about the lack of access to the president.

Shortly after the news conference, Mr. Obama will fly with his family on Air Force One for a 17-day holiday vacation in Hawaii.
