CNN’s Jeff Zucker is among those trying to recruit Jay Leno after the late-night host leaves his position at NBC in February.

Mr. Zucker, who heads CNN Worldwide, recently visited briefly with Leno at NBC in Burbank, Calif., sources told The Hollywood Reporter.

Other media figures and outlets trying to woo Leno include Tribune, “American Idol” producer Core Media Group and former NBC chief Jeff Gaspin, the report said.

Leno’s attorney Ken Ziffren said Mr. Leno won’t settle on any deal until his gig at NBC officially ends on Feb. 6.
