The bipartisan budget proposal will be brought to the House floor on Thursday, a House leadership aide confirmed.
The two-year, $1.012 trillion deal announced Tuesday night includes $23 billion in deficit reduction and more than $60 billion in partial relief from cuts under the sequester. It also includes increased user fees and higher pension contributions for federal employees to pay for the sequester fix.
Some conservative lawmakers and advocacy groups have come out against the plan because it breaks the caps set in 2011 by the Budget Control Act and undoes a portion of the sequester cuts, which some say were effective in reducing the deficit and should have remained in place.
The House will leave Washington on Friday for its year-end break.
