Twitchy, the Twitter aggregation site owned by conservative pundit Michelle Malkin, has been sold to Salem Communications, which runs Hotair.com and Townhall.com, BuzzFeed first reported.

“Media Matters types would like to paint conservatives as boring, old white guys,” said Townhall Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Garthwaite. “Twitchy adds more fun and humor to our platform, which will appeal to totally different generation and break that stereotype.”

Mrs. Malkin sold Hotair.com to Salem Communications back in 2010, Buzzfeed notes.

Mr. Garthwaite would not disclose terms of the deal.
