A rodeo bull at a Minnesota county fair busted its confines and went on a rampage Wednesday evening, injuring several and trampling a sheriff’s deputy, who ultimately pulled his gun and killed the beast.
Dakota County Sheriff David Bellows said the bull escaped from its pen and charged a deputy. The deputy fired two shots — just moments before the beast trampled him.
About eight people were injured, including the deputy, The Associated Press reported. Only one woman required hospitalization, and her condition on Thursday was still unknown.
It’s not known whether the bull was killed or simply injured.
