President Obama will hold a news conference Friday before going on a week-long vacation.
Mr. Obama made the announcement himself in the Oval Office on Thursday during a photo-op with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. He waved off reporters’ questions during the photo session by saying, “Guys, I’m going to be having a press conference tomorrow, so why don’t you ask that question tomorrow.”
Among the questions he didn’t answer Thursday were queries about skipping a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin and awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to talk-show host Oprah Winfrey.
On Saturday, Mr. Obama and his family will fly to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts for an eight-day vacation.
