Add this to the list of first lady Michelle Obama’s pastimes: Singing rap.

And not just any old rap — rather, the kind that leads to a production deal and appearance on a 19-track album. It’s the latest progression of Mrs. Obama’s Let’s Move! Campaign to get kids to eat healthy. Following a recent music video appearance with rapper Doug E. Fresh, the track they cut — called “Everybody” — is now being featured on an album to promote healthier lifestyles, using the rapper message, Breitbart reported.

Other song titles: “We Like Vegetables,” track No. 18; “Veggie Luv,” track No. 5; “Mother May I,” track No. 16; and “U R What You Eat,” the featured first track.

The album is due for a Sept. 30 release. It’s a joint effort of the Hip Hop Public Health, the Michelle Obama Let’s Move! Campaign, and the Partnership for a Healthier America.

Let’s Move! Executive Director Sam Kass said the reason for the rap is to target minority youth disproportionately impacted by health problems related to poor eating.

“Cultural leaders and visionaries in our country can give these messages to kids in a way that’s not preachy,” he said, in Breitbart, predicting that “kids are going to be dancing and listening to the music.”
