Hollywood actor Dustin Hoffman has emerged from cancer treatment and is doing well, his spokeswoman said in a statement.
The 75-year-old Oscar winner is “feeling great,” he’s in “good health,” and he’s been “surgically cured” because the cancer was discovered at a very early stage, publicist Jodi Gottlieb said, in BBC. She didn’t release additional details about the actor’s health or diagnosis.
People magazine reported, though, that Mr. Hoffman would have to undergo additional treatments to prevent the cancer from returning. He’s due to appear in a comedy with fellow actors Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. next year.
Mr. Hoffman won best actor awards at the Oscars on two occasions: The first for “Kramer vs. Kramer” in 1979 and the second for “Rain Man” in 1988.
