Flying kid-free: Singapore airline offers adults-only seating

For a paltry $14, fliers on one Singapore-based airline can now kick back in kid-free zoned seating.

Scoot Airlines, an arm of Singapore Airlines, has put in place a new program called “ScootinSilence” to allow travelers without children to continue their travels, child-free, The New York Post reported.

For $14, fliers can upgrade to one of the seats in a five-row economy class section that’s been placed off-limits to those under the age of 12 years old. As an added bonus, the seats have extra leg room, too.

The CEO, Campbell Wilson, says he’s not trying to insult kids.

“No offense to our young guests or those traveling with them,” he said, in The Australian. “You still have the rest of the aircraft.”
