It won’t be long before the face of the nation has changed to such extent that white will be the new color of the ethnic minority, predicted one black lawmaker from Georgia on national television.

On Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” host David Gregory asked Rep. John Lewis about the shifting demographics of America.

“Do you see some of the same trappings of resentment and fear in our modern-day politics? Is that what you’re warning of when you see some of those forces coming back?” Mr. Gregory said, Breitbart.com reported.

And Mr. Lewis, a Democrat, replied: “I think there is some forces [who] want to create this sense of fear. They think that the country is moving too fast and maybe becoming too progressive. The country’s not the same country. … People are coming together and in a short time, the minority will be the majority.”

Social media commenters were on fire.

One, writing on Breitbart.com, said: “And when the Majority becomes the Minority, will you allow them all the same privileges, breaks, affirmative action that the current minority class abuses and exploits so well? I doubt it.”

And another: “Obama is … responsible for creating fear and dividing the country. He has delivered exactly the opposite of his campaign promises on unifying the country, being post racial, post partisan, improving foreign relations, being transparent, etc. Any truthful analysis of the problem why this country is in a bad state points to Obama.”

And one more, hitting hard at Mr. Lewis’ claim: “The black abortion rate may prove him wrong.”
