Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, a son of Vice President Joseph R. Biden, is due to fly home from the hospital with his famous father aboard Air Force Two on Thursday.

The younger Mr. Biden was at a Houston hospital this week for an undisclosed medical procedure, The Associated Press reported. He was taken to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center on Tuesday after initially spending time at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago — he had been vacationing with his family in Indiana — after complaining of disorientation and weakness. From Chicago, he was sent to a hospital in Philadelphia.

The White House refused to disclose the nature of Mr. Biden’s tests at the Houston hospital and wouldn’t even say if they were diagnostic or therapeutic in nature.

Mr. Biden, 44, suffered a stroke about three years ago.

The official White House statement, from the vice president and his wife, Jill: “He is in great shape and … will follow up with his local physicians in the coming weeks.”
