A journalist in the United Arab Emirates has offered $143,000 for information that leads to the capture and arrest of leaders with the Muslim Brotherhood who are being sought by Egyptian security forces.
Hamad Al Mazroui tweeted the news of the bounty earlier this week, asking with information — “regardless of nationality or religion” — to come forward. He specifically asked for information about Islamist leaders Essam el-Erian, Sarwat Hegazy and Mohammed el-Beltagy, The Associated Press reported.
He also said the bounty was being offered in conjunction with Egypt’s Interior Ministry.
Egypt’s police want those three on charges of inciting violence on June 30 during an attack on the Muslim Brotherhood’s headquarters in Cairo, AP said. The Brotherhood’s head, Mohammed Badie, already has been arrested, as well as hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood spiritual and political leaders and group supporters.
