After bouts of disorientation and other health problems, Beau Biden now is under evaluation at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, according to The Associated Press.

The condition of Mr. Biden, Delaware attorney general and the son of Vice President Joseph R. Biden, remains unclear. On Aug. 14, he reportedly felt weak while driving to Indiana on a family vacation. Mr. Biden, 44, then spent time at a Chicago hospital and later sought care in Philadelphia.

It’s unclear if his current health problems are related to the mild stroke Mr. Biden suffered in 2010.

On Tuesday, he posted a photo with his wife, Hallie, and appeared healthy. “Touched by all your well wishes — thank you … will share update when we have it,” Mr. Biden wrote on Twitter.

The vice president also reportedly is still with his son in Texas, though he’s scheduled to join President Obama on his two-day bus tour later this week.

Mr. Biden, who became Delaware’s attorney general in 2007, is rumored to have his eye on a higher office.
