Hillary Rodham Clinton’s attempt to give us national health insurance while her husband was president was bad enough, but Obamacare will be a true disaster for the nation.

Nothing has changed since the days when the now-deceased Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, tried to give everybody health care sponsored by the government. It is all about money that the country does not have.

Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican, is right: Only small minds would attempt to nationalize medical care (“Rand Paul: Obamacare authors have ’really small brains,’” Web, Aug. 13). The authors of Obamacare are obviously bureaucrats who know precious little about economics — and even less about health care.

Congress has the power to stop the madness: They should just not fund it. Employers can refuse to go along with the program, too. If they boycott Obamacare and give employees vouchers for health care, there will be no insurance policies.

The other alternative is to impeach President Obama for ignoring our Constitution by forcing citizens to do something against their will.
