A Texas teenager, 18, who fled police in a stolen truck and ended up crashing into other vehicles and killing six will be charged with murder, police said on Wednesday.
Hector Ramirez is in the hospital, recovering from his own injuries suffered in the crash. But once he’s released, he’ll be arrested and charged, police said, in CNN.
He’s accused of smashing his stolen truck into a Chevrolet Suburban that was occupied by seven family members. Six of the family members, including four children under the age of 6, were killed, CNN reported.
He hit the Suburban after driving through a red light, in a high-speed flight from police, on Monday.
The crash also injured a man, two women and two boys, aged 5 and 8, who were traveling in another vehicle, CNN reported.
Mr. Ramirez tried to flee the scene after the crash, but was captured.
