Hollywood actor Ben Affleck may one day trade his California studio gig for a Capitol Hill office — at least, that’s what his actress wife thinks.

Jennifer Garner says the time’s not right now, but one day he may hit the political circuit.

“Right now, [Ben] feels like he can do more good for people politically from outside the system,” she said, People magazine reported. But that could change.

“Would I be surprised if one day he did go into politics? No,” Ms. Garner said, in the report. “But not now.”

And when it happens, Ms. Garner’s on board, she said, Politico reported.

The idea isn’t completely out of left field. Mr. Affleck was mentioned as a possible replacement for John Kerry who ceded his Democratic Party Senate seat for the Secretary of State slot. Mr. Affleck, in the end, decided against pursuing the office.
