A 29-year-old California unemployed recording engineering said he’s found the keys to happiness through government food stamps that let him enjoy a carefree existence of drinking, hitting on women and surfing.
Jason Greenslate, a surfer and musician who used to work as a recording engineer but now takes food stamps, described his happy lifestyle this way to Fox News: “Wake up, go down to the beach, hang out with my friends, hit on some chicks, start drinking.”
In short, it’s “wonderful, man,” Fox News reported.
He also said he lives rent-free with family or girlfriends, and feels no guilt about taking tax dollars to buy food. And the food he buys is often top-of-the-line luxury items. Fox News traveled to the grocery story with him to see how he spends his $200 monthly Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program check.
Among Mr. Greenslate’s purchases: Lobster and gourmet sushi, “all paid by our wonderful tax dollars,” he said, Fox News reported.
