An Australian opposition party leader inadvertently turned all eyes on himself with a gaffe that by Monday seemed the gift of the social media world.

Tony Abbott meant to attack Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s penchant for making decisions without consulting anybody. He meant to say nobody’s the repository of wisdom.

But what he said, to a crowd of political followers in Melbourne on Monday, The Associated Press reported: “No one, however smart, however well educated, however experienced, is the suppository of all wisdom.”

A suppository is normall a medicated substance introduce through a body passage.

Social media erupted.

The hashtag #suppository was trending on Twitter, The Telegraph reported.
