Two bodies were found shot inside YWCA offices in Manchester, N.H., Sunday, according to police who responded to an emergency call, The Associated Press reported.
Several media reports said a man shot and killed a boy before taking his own life, but police decline to confirm that to the AP.
Rabbi Levi Krinsky, of Chabad Lubavitch in Manchester, said he had known the man for five years, the Boston Globe reported.
“It appears to be a murder-suicide,” he told the Boston Globe. “This is a dad who had partial custody of his son and maybe took him here for swimming or exercise.”
Mr. Krinksy said the man had sent an email to at least one friend saying “he was going to do something of this nature,” the Boston Globe reported.
Police said no one else was injured in the incident.
The rabbi told the Boston Globe that the man’s son had been involved in some youth programs at Chabad Lubavtich.
