President Obama is heading to late-night talk show — again — and is set for an Aug. 6 appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to make a case for his economic plans.

Press secretary Jay Carney put it this way: Mr. Obama will speak on his goals to “help responsible homeowners,” The Daily Mail reported.

He’s done Leno on four prior occasions, The Daily Mail reported. And that means he’s unmatched in terms of late night show appearances by presidents, the newspaper reported.

Mr. Obama last appeared on Leno on Oct. 24, 2012, during his two-day campaign through eight different states. Two months earlier, his wife was featured on the show with Olympian Gabby Douglas. And both of them appeared as a couple on the Oprah Winfrey show in 2012 – which first lady Obama then followed with a solo appearance with Ms. Winfrey, a month later.
