Social media erupted Wednesday after a reporter for the Times of India, the largest English daily in the world, published a controversial article about women.

“Not all women bathe everyday, no matter how much they profess cleanliness and hygiene,” Biben Laikhuram wrote, according to Buzzfeed. “They rely on deodorants and perfumes to smell good.”

The article, titled “Weird, Funny Facts About Women,” turned out to be plagiarized and was pulled from the paper’s website. The Times of India said that readers found the the article “offensive,” The Daily Beast reported.

“Women eat a hell of a lot,” Mr. Laikhuram continued. “When men are around, women act like they eat too little. But when left alone she can polish off a full size pizza. Now, we know why women always talk about food and recipes.”

The reporter also insisted that “men always feel tired and prefer to sleep after sex, but women don’t. They like to talk, fool around, and kiss each other”

“Women can spend a whole day before the mirror,” is another “fact” the author lists, according to Buzzfeed.

Mr. Laikhuram has also written “7 interesting facts about women’s breasts,” “5 things that scare women about sex,” “6 ways to get a stronger erection,” and “5 sex positions women die to have,” the Daily Beast reported.
